Season five of Selling Sunset just landed on Friday and it’s already delivered all the drama we could ever need. From newly appointed manager Mary to bizarre Ben Affleck dating rumours, and of course the arrival of the Oppenheim Group’s newest member Chelsea Lazkani.

And even though it just landed we are already desperate for season six. But that sixth season could look very different because rumours are swirling that OG cast member Christine Quinn is leaving the show…and there is some strong evidence, as she just announced her new real estate company.

Christine and her tech entrepreneur husband Christian Dumontet, have combined their two loves and launched RealOpen.

RealOpen is a unique real estate company which specialises in property sales through cryptocurrencies. According to Forbes the company, “allows anyone, anywhere to purchase or sell a home via crypto, in a time when many brokerages and agents might shy away from the process. It’s the first company of its kind.”

Christine and her hubby are clearly very excited about the project, as she celebrated the launch on Instagram. Writing, “It took over a year of hard work and tenacity to create this platform and patent-pending technology to revolutionize the housing market.”

“My Boss B*tch manifesto is don’t STOP until you are the Boss of your own life. YOU and only you control your storyline. It was a moon shot, and now it’s a reality. Crypto is the new global financial system. Why ride the wave, when you can help create it.”

Needles to say the announcement sent those quitting rumours through the roof.

The speculation started after episode nine of the fifth season, in which Christine spoke to Chelsea about wanting to leave the group.

Saying, “I really just feel it’s becoming difficult for me to just do my job because I’m constantly up against different bulls*** and I feel like I’ve just gotten to a point where I just don’t want to be in the office because it gets to a point where the drama is is affecting my business and I don’t want that. Put all your personal bulls*** aside; let’s just get work done.”

Continuing, “I’m just kind of thinking these days. I’m not desperate for a job. I’m intelligent, I can start my own brokerage. I can be a broker. I mean if Davina can do it, I can do it! I want to work for myself – be my own independent boss.”

But she did stress, “I’m not… these are things that I’m pondering in my head, but I don’t know. I’m not meant to be one of 92 in the office. That’s just not for me. I’m one of one.”

This isn’t the first time rumours of Christine quitting have popped up. After season four she revealed how hard work on the show was while she was pregnant and coping with postpartum depression, and many thought she wouldn’t return for season five.

So while her launching a real estate company might seem like a bad sign, there is no confirmation she actually has quit. So who knows RealOpen is new and very niche, maybe she could still work at the Oppenheim Group because they have different specialties?

Or maybe she’ll feature next season as a rival company?
