Shawn Mendes Has Finally Addressed Him And Hailey Baldwin’s Situationship

Shawn Mendes and Hailey Baldwin turned some heads when the rocked up together at the Met Gala earlier this year. They were holding hands, posing for cute pics, it was a cuteness overload tbh.

A month later, however, Hailey was engaged to Justin Bieber, and although she and Shawn always maintained they were just friends, we were all a bit like wtf. She immediately unfollowed Shawn on Instagram, to make matters worse.

Now, Shawn has commented on his relationship with Hailey. About her engagement to Justin, Shawn told Rolling Stone: “I get it, you know, I texted Hailey, ‘Congratulations,’ and I really am happy for them. She’s still one of the fucking coolest people ever — she’s not just a beautiful person visually, but she’s one of the most beautiful hearts I’ve ever met.”

Although that’s nice and all, he then leaves us with this confusing statement.

“I think I’m an idiot to not, you know. . . . But you can’t control your heart.”

Okay so now we’re wondering did Shawn ruin everything or did Hailey leave him needing stitches? (We had to do that)
