Simon Harris Announces That He’s Joined ‘TicTok’, Gaining Over 40,000 Followers
He admitted that he decided to 'take the plunge' on the social media app earlier this week.
Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, Simon Harris has joined viral social media app, TikTok.
Sharing his first video on Wednesday, the former Minister for Health explained that he decided to join the app – adding that although he wasn’t quite sure what he had let himself in for, he was looking forward to learning how to use the platform.
‘I’m using it as another tool to keep in touch with you, keep you up to date and share a few insights and views,’ Simon explained while recording his debut appearance in what looked like an office setting.

His first video, gaining over 600,000 views in less than 24 hours caused Simon’s follower rate to lift massively, with the Government minister gaining 40,000 followers in his first day on the social media app.
Continuing, Simon uploaded two more videos within his first day figuring out “TicTok”, one which he captured a ‘rare day in the office’ of his desk and seat, cut to a cover of Rihanna’s track Work by ‘Dee McGhee’, interesting choice.

And lastly, Simon’s third offering on Wednesday night was a video, presumably taken at home due to the different time and setting, was of Simon kicking it back for the evening, captioning the video ‘tea, match, prep for tomorrow’ again, to an interesting version of ‘Come On You Boys And Green’.

Yes, it’s safe to say that we’re excited for the content to come. Will we get a video of him and Leo doing the Renegade? Some office pranks? Maybe some slick transitions? A montage to JB’s Peaches?
Whatever is en route, we’re already intrigued.
