So, Cardi B Is Feuding With Carole Baskin

"Oh, Lord. Like, girl you killed your goddamn husband.”

In the 2020 twist that none of us saw coming, rapper Cardi B and Tiger King star Carole Baskin are at loggerheads.

Earlier this week, Cardi received backlash from Carole for using exotic cats in her music video for her new single ‘WAP’ with Megan Thee Stallion.

Although the Tiger King era of quarantine feels like centuries ago now, we can just about cast our minds back that far to remember how passionate Carole was about the mistreatment of wild cats in captivity.

In a statement written to Billboard, Carole expressed her concerns for the video, saying that it could go on to ‘glamourise’ the idea of keeping a wild animal as a pet.

Although the cats in the video appear to be photoshopped into it, Carole said she worries that many people won’t realise this.

“My guess is that most people won’t even see the Photoshopped cats in the scenes because the rest of it is so lurid.”

Getting wind of Carole’s comments, Cardi has shut down the entire thing.

“I’m not gonna engage with Carole Baskin on that,” Cardi told i-D.

Going on to say what half of Twitter was thinking back in April, Cardi added:

“Like, that’s just ridiculous you know? Oh, Lord. Like, girl you killed your goddamn husband.”

Good to know Cardi’s watched the entire docu-series just like the rest of us.

Also going on to address the tutts that ‘WAP’s’ lyrics has been met with since it’s release, Cardi said that she isn’t too concerned about anyone finding it too vulgar.

“I’ve been really surprised by the reaction, honestly. I knew it was gonna have a big impact, I guess, because of me and Megan.”

“But I didn’t know it was going to be so controversial. I never expected that, you know, conservatives and Republicans were going to be talking about the song.”

“I didn’t think the song was as vulgar as they said it was, you know? Like, I’m so used to it. I’m such a freak that I didn’t think it would be a big deal. I didn’t think people would think it was so out of this world,” she added.

“Everybody gets horny, everybody gets a little tingle down there, you know what I’m saying. Just embrace it. Don’t be scared about it.”

Hear hear Cardi!
