So Channing Tatum Offered Lenny Kravitz A Role In Magic Mike 3

That's… That's one way to bond with your SO's dad.

Everyone wants their parents and their partner to get along. But sometimes, it can be tricky. Luckily there are lots of different ways to find things in common. Maybe a relaxed dinner with lots of chatting, taking a trip together somewhere close by, or you know, casually starring in a film about male strippers together.

That last one might only work if you’re Channing Tatum.

Yep while promoting his new film Dog, Channing revealed he would love to see his GF Zoë Kravitz’s father in the third instalment of the Magic Mike film series.

Ohh, and Zoë’s dad just so happens to be legendary musician Lenny Kravitz.

Channing told Access Hollywood, “I would love for Lenny (to be in the film). At the moment, there’s not exactly a part for him. But look, if Lenny wants to do the movie, we will write him apart!”

“He will look better than all of our strippers in the whole movie.”

Channing then praised 57-year-old Lenny’s youthful looks saying, “he looks better than I could ever dream of looking like even when I was 18.”

To be fair, Channing’s comments come out of nowhere, as Lenny has expressed interest in appearing in Magic Mike before. Back in October 2021, Lenny posted a pic to IG showing off his six-pack, and Channing showed his appreciation, commenting, “good god man! What are you eating or what’s in the water or the genes. It’s not natural. Do you just do abs like all day?”

To which Lenny replied, “Dude, I’m just trying to get in the next Magic Mike. Any connections?”

The pairs’ friendship is adorable, but we got to wonder how does Zoë feel about her dad and her beau trying to organise a stripper film together? Channing did say that Lenny wouldn’t have to strip in the film. Saying, “he can just stand and drink coffee and we’ll be like, well, that’s it, we got it.”

Zoë and Channing reportedly started dating around August 2021 and debuted as a couple at that year’s Met Gala. They are said to have begun seeing each other while working on the upcoming thriller Pussy Island, which is Zoë’s directing debut.

But even before then, they were big fans of each, with Zoë telling Deadline how much she’d like to work with Channing. Saying, “I got the sense he’s a true feminist and I wanted to collaborate with someone who was clearly interested in exploring this subject matter.”
