So Scary! This Is Why You Should Always Check Under Your Plane Seat Before Takeoff

It could be a matter of life or death.

Next time you get on a plane, you may want to look under your seat. No, not to see the feet of the person sitting behind you, but to ensure your life jacket is where it’s meant to be.

You may have assumed it would always be there, but according to experts, those all-important yellow jackets are being stolen quite regularly. *Gulp*

Airline expert, George Hobica told The Huffington Post, “People take those life jackets, located under or between your seat, as souvenirs.” Yikes.

He adds that, “These actions are a vile and punishable offence.” Eh, they ought to be!

While airline staff make every effort to ensure the life jackets are under every seat, with the amount of passengers coming and going in one plane alone, it can be difficult to monitor if one has been nicked.

So have a feel under your seat before taking off on your next trip, you know, just in case.
