Sophie Turner And Joe Jonas Release Statement On Split

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas have called it quits.

The couple have been married for four years and share two daughters.

According to TMZ, their relationship had been in peril for six months, and Joe has met with divorce lawyers. Fans have also spotted both Joe and Sophie without their wedding rings in recent months.

TMZ reported: “Joe had his people contact and consult with at least 2 L.A.-area divorce lawyers and he is on the cusp of filing divorce docs to end his marriage to Sophie.”

The couple also recently sold their Miami home, adding fuel to speculation about a breakup.

Now the pair have taken to Instagram to confirm the separation.

In a post shared by them both, the pair wrote that “after four wonderful years of marriage” they have “mutually decided to amicably end [their] marriage”.

They added that though there has been much speculation, it is a “united decision”.

The split comes as a surprise to fans, as Sophie was recently in attendance for their opening show in New York, at the beginning of August. Plus, she was seen dancing in the crowd with sister-in-laws Priyanka Chopra and Danielle Jonas.

Sophie also posted photos from the same night, hand-in-hand with Joe, looking extremely happy just a few weeks ago.

Sophie and Joe were married in 2019, with their first wedding taking place in Las Vegas during a Billboard Music Awards afterparty, followed by a more formal celebration in France later that year.

They welcomed their first daughter, Willa, in 2020, and their second baby girl in 2022.
