Sophie Turner is undoubtedly a talented actress, receiving rave reviews for her performance as Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones, and Jean Grey in the X-Men: Apocalypse franchise.

But Sophie revealed that she believes becoming a mother has enhanced her acting skills, by giving her a “different perspective.”

Speaking on The Wrap’s UnWrapped podcast, the British star revealed; “It’s made me a better actor for becoming, you know, becoming a mother.”

Explaining her reasoning, she said, “As an actor, you know, the only way to become a really brilliant actor is to experience as much life as possible and to bring those experiences in, and so this is just another little part of life that I’m experiencing that I get to bring in and hopefully it helps my performance one way or another.”

And starting a family hasn’t just impacted her acting but also her personality.

As she explained, “The concept of family has made me an entirely much more emotional person. The empathy is heightened; the feelings about family are just like overflowing.”

Sophie and her husband Joe Jonas welcomed their daughter, Willa, in 2020.

Confirming the news, a joint statement on the pair’s behalf was released saying they were, “delighted to announce the birth of their baby.”

We will get to see Sophie’s new acting skills in her upcoming show The Staircase, which will be released in May.
