Stay At Home – Famous Irish Faces Come Together For Message Of Support

The call is simple #StayAtHome

Dublin City Council has gathered together some of Dublin’s most famous people to remind people to continue social distancing and self-isolating in order to support the HSE and our frontline workers battling the ongoing pandemic.

Actors including Gangs of London star Colm Meaney, Game of Thrones actor Aidan Gillen, Adrian Dunbar and and the ever funny Brendan O’Carroll aka Mrs Brown have joined forces in a video produced by ‘Dublin City Council/Community Call’.

Opening the video on a humorous note, Colm Meaney notes this is a “pain in the hole” but we need to hold tough.

Continuing, Colm is joined by a host of known Irish faces including Love/Hate star Aoibhinn McGinnity.

“It’s only for a few weeks and it will save lives,” she adds to which her co-star in the hit Irish TV show, Lar Kinlan agrees by saying: “Let’s show the world and each other how much we value life on this small island by staying at home.”

Keeping it light-hearted while still getting the important message across, Mrs Brown’s voice can be heard wrapping up the video by asking if she’s still allowed to “take a sh*t” in peace – a wonderful image.

The video launched today, Friday, May 1 to ask everyone in Dublin City – especially those living in the city centre to keep social distancing over the coming weeks – as hard as it may be!
