The book, written alongside journalist and author Liadán Hynes, details how Ellen went from a girl who used to hide her arm, to a confident women who has found massive success in the sporting world – and beyond!
Before she was celebrating her ‘lucky fin’, Ellen spent a lot of her childhood ashamed of who she was. Born with one arm, she always feared being singled out as ‘different’, until she learned to embrace her disability, and turn it into her superpower.
The exciting new novel, which lands on shelves on January 4, 2024, is a story of joy and self-love joyful that celebrates differences – no matter what obstacles seem to exist alongside them.
With the hard-won lessons and goodnatured humour of a beloved big sister, Ellen shares advice, anecdotes and reader check-ins to encourage acceptance, empowerment and authenticity in us all.
Our exclusive event takes place on Thursday 11th January at 6:30pm in Doll Society.
