Stranger Things’ The Duffer Brothers Form New Production Company

This is HUGE!

If you’re like us, then you’ve already binged the latest series of Stranger Things. It’s no word of a lie to say that Matt and Ross Duffer, AKA, the Duffer brothers, AKA, the writers of the show, pulled out all the stops for their grand season finale and now we can’t help but feel a loss after finishing it.

BUT, no need to fear, as the iconic duo has just announced their very own production company. AGH EXCITING!

Named, ‘Upside Down Pictures’ in reference to the infamous Upside Down realm in Stranger Things (ugh genius), the firm plans on developing films and television projects as part of their overall deal with the streaming giant, Netflix. This means less waiting in-between seasons and way more content for us!

With already several new supernatural projects in the pipeline, the company also plan on producing an original series from creators Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews as well as a live-action Stranger Things spin-off series based on an original idea by the brothers themselves.

Some other work you can expect to see from the firm, includes a series adaptation of Stephen King and Peter Straub‘s The Talisman as well as an anime series Death Note. Oooh sounds scary!

In launching Upside Down Pictures, the brothers shared how they want to create the kind of stories that inspired them growing up, “stories that take place at that beautiful crossroads where the ordinary meets the extraordinary, where big spectacle co-exists with intimate character work, where heart wins out over cynicism.”

Although we don’t exactly have a date for when these new projects will be released, it is very exciting news altogether.

With the next series of Stranger things set to be the fifth and final season, at least now we know we can expect more content from the insanely talented makers of the show. We can’t wait!
