Taylor Swift Has Released Her Re-Recorded Album, Fearless Just In Time For The Weekend

Love this for her.

This is the news we desperately needed this weekend, Taylor Swift has just dropped the re-recorded version of her album, Fearless.

In need of an update as to why she’s re-recorded an older album? This is the first of her records she’ll be re-recording as she’s attempting to make her old original Masters worthless and take control of her back catalogue.

This all came about after a feud with talent manager, Scooter Braun, over the ownership of her first six albums. It became a high profile story after his company acquired the rights to her first six albums back in 2019, and the masters were then bought again by Shamrock Capital last year.

The original album was first released back in 2008 when she was just 18 and went to win album of the year at the Grammys as well as selling more than 12 million copies globally.

This new release of the album is called Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and as well having the original songs on there she’s also added six new tracks that never made it on to the album back in 2008.

Apparently these were cut from the OG album as there were ‘too many breakup songs’ but now, with Taylor in full control this new version of Fearless, it will have 26 tracks, compared to 13 in 2008.

Well, we know what we’ll be listening to all weekend.
