All The Award Show Dates You Need For 2026

It's almost that time again...

Awards season is just around the corner! The 2026 season for film, television and music kicks off from early January to mid-March next year – and it’s safe to say we will be sat.

Here’s everything you need to know about all the major award ceremonies…

Critics’ Choice Awards

The 31st Critics’ Choice Awards is just over 3 weeks away and is the first of the major ceremonies this season to honour the finest in cinematic achievement. With the nominees recently announced, Sinners is the leading film contender with a total of 17 nominations, while Adolescence leads this year’s television nominees.

According to recent predictions, it’s anticipated that One Battle After Another will win Best Picture, while Best Actor will go to Timothée Chalamet for Marty Supreme and Jessie Buckley will take the Best Actress win for Hamnet. In the supporting categories – Best Supporting Actor will apparently be Sean Penn for One Battle After Another and finally Best Supporting Actress will go to Ariana Grande for Wicked: For Good.

Golden Globes

The nominations for next year’s Golden Globes have just been released. While One Battle After Another leads the race with the most nominations, we can expect it to take home the Best Picture Award (musical or comedy), Hamnet is projected to take home the Best Picture Award in the drama category.

Jessie Buckley, Rose Byrne, Wagner Moura, Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande and Stellan Skarsgård are the estimated winners in their respective acting categories.

As the award ceremony for outstanding achievements in the music industry, the Grammy’s have been subject to great controversies over the years due to alleged ‘snubbing’.

It’s certain that the competition for this year’s Grammys are not as intense as last year’s, but with this year’s nominees, the predictions are quite hazy. Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, Bad Bunny, Leon Thomas and Sabrina Carpenter received the most nominations for the upcoming award ceremony.

The British Academy Film Awards is hosted to honour the best British and international film contributions. The nominations for this year’s British Academy Film Awards have not been released, but we can imagine they’ll follow the same agenda as the Critics’ Choice and Golden Globes.

The Screen Actors Guild Awards, which has recently been renamed The Actor Awards, honours the best achievements in film and television performances of the year.

The nominees for this year’s award ceremony have not been announced, but it’s important to note that last year’s chosen winners in the SAG leading categories broke the pattern of winners from the precursor awards – with Timothée Chalamet and Demi Moore winning over Adrien Brody and Mikey Madison.
