Harry Styles may be in the midst of filming for his latest movie ‘Don’t Worry Darling‘, but planning for the production of his next movie is well underway too.

It has been confirmed that Harry will play the lead role in an LGBTQ+ romance movie, with Emma Corrin opposite him (you might remember her as the actress who plays Princess Diana in The Crown). The new movie, named My Policeman is based on a novel, with the same title, written by Bethan Roberts.

Set in the 1950s, the plot follows the story of a young couple who get caught in a love triangle with an older man, an arrangement that would have been considered highly taboo at that time. Who will play the older man is yet to be confirmed, with Enola Holme’s Sam Claflin being rumoured.

The film does not have a release date yet, however, it’s believed that production will begin in April of this year, when Harry wraps up filming for Don’t Worry Darling. As the novel is set in Brighton, in the UK, Harry will be returning back to his homeland to join production there.

As it turns out, Harry and Emma are already pretty good friends, with them striking up a friendship last year after it was discovered that they both had the same stylist. Harry reportedly gave Emma some advice on fame, just before she blew up after staring in The Crown. Since then, they’ve kept in touch, so we can only imagine how excited they are to star alongside each other.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated as more information comes along, but in the meantime, we’re excited!
