Dumped Love Islander Haris Namani ‘Devastated’ After Street Fight Video Emerges

Haris Namani has spoken out.

Dumped Love Islander Haris Namani has said that he is “devastated” that fans of the show saw a video of him fighting with a man on the street prior to his entry into the villa.

Footage of the salesman, who was dumped from the villa on Wednesday, emerged earlier this week on social media, appearing to show him embroiled in a street fight with an unknown man.

21-year-old Haris was dumped from the South African villa not long after. He has since said that the video is “not a reflection of his character.”

“I’m devastated that this video has been seen, it’s not a reflection of my character,” he said. “I’m not someone that goes looking for fights and I didn’t want to be in that situation.

“This was a heat of the moment thing. The video doesn’t show everything that happened. Afterwards we met up and we cleared the air, we’ve shaken hands and we get along now. It’s not something that would happen again.”

During his time in the villa, Haris struck up somewhat of a relationship with Olivia Hawkins. He also argued with Shaq following a particularly heated game of beer bong. Of that fight, Haris said that the pair got along afterwards.

He said: “I knew 100 per cent nothing would have come from that disagreement and we would hug it out.

“I said sorry for my part and he said the same, and that’s it. We were the first two in and we got along after that as normal.”

Haris left the villa on Wedesnday alongside Anna-May Robey.

Love Island airs tonight at 9pm on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Player.
