EYNTK About The Upcoming Love Island Games
Maya's back for more.
The day we have all been waiting for is almost upon us, as all of our favourite Islanders from around the world are back for the upcoming Love Island Games.
This newly revealed spin-off show will bring together past Islanders from Love Island UK, USA, and Australia, and give them a second chance at finding love. With each contestant having their fan base, and some with past connections, this show is bound to bring the drama, the controversy, and the ultimate battle of love to our screens!
Here’s everything you need to know.
Who’s our host?
Our hostess with the mostest, Maya Jama, is on the roster as the Love Island Games’ new host. She announces her debut in an Instagram video with the caption: “When Love Island worlds collide, we couldn’t just bring alum back to compete! @mayajama returns as host for the first-ever Love Island Games! 🏝️ #LoveIslandGames arrives November 1 on Peacock”.

Where is the island?
Maya Jama revealed in the Instagram video that she is “off to Fiji for the first ever Love Island Games”. So, it’s time to pack up and head to the other side of the world where Summer never sleeps.
When is it starting?
The dating show has been announced to air on the 1st of November of this year. In an appearance made by Kady McDermott in the Stay Relevant Podcast, she discloses that they will begin filming for the show in September, which would suggest that the series will be pre-filmed in its entirety, however, the streaming service has announced that this is not the case, and that new episodes will be released six out of seven days in the week starting from November.
What’s going to happen?
Like the original Love Island series, we can assume that our celebrity islanders will have to couple up and endure the realm of dating, challenges, and bombshells whilst facing the viewers’ process of elimination.
Although the theme of the spinoff is obviously love, we expect that the contestants will truly be competing for the viewers’ approval. This may be their second chance at finding a connection, but it is their only shot at becoming the world’s all-time Love Island all-star.
And what about playing games? It’s literally in the name! We are excited to see what tactics and master plans our islanders will bring to the field, to win their claim to fame.

Who’s in it?
Over the weekend, The UK Sun reported that series four Love Island contestant Megan Barton-Hanson and 2019 contestant Curtis Pritchard are a “done deal” for Love Island Games.
A source told the publication: “Megan and Curtis are both amazing signings for the spin-off and bosses are rubbing their hands together that they agreed to take part.”
A number of other past contestants have been rumoured to be taking part including Georgia Steel, Liberty Pool, Wes Nelson and Toby Aromolaran.
We here at Stellar have our predictions.
We know for certain that Kady McDermott has declined to make an appearance on the show. Maura Higgins, a fan favourite from series 5, has already made her feature in Love Island USA as their social media ambassador. Her days of finding love on the show may be over, but perhaps she might feature in the Games as a co-host or guest star.
If you’re an OG watcher of Love Island UK, then, of course, Chris and Kem from series 3 are a much-needed bromance that we want back on our screens, or maybe Olivia Attwood will make a return since quitting I’m a Celebrity in 2022.
Other faces we would love to see return would be season 5’s, Anna Vakili and Amber Gill for the drama, Ovie Soko, for his comedic effect, season 7’s, Chloe Burrows and her iconic one-liners and finally the latest season’s Whitney Adebayo for being a Bad B!
Where can you watch it?
The Love Island Games will be released on Peacock, a US streaming platform, which is sadly not accessible to those of us who live in Ireland and the UK.
But not to worry, as Peacock has now made their content available to Sky and NOW customers in Ireland, the UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Italy.
Now that you are in the loop, let the games begin.
