Get Excited, This ’90s Chick Flick Remake Is Officially Heading To Netflix
The movie will debut on the streaming service later this year.
It looks like Netflix has swooped in and picked up the rights to Miramax’s He’s All That, a gender-swapped remake of the classic 1999 chick flick, She’s All That.
For those who need a refresher on the iconic late ’90s movie, the film starred a young Freddie Prinze Jr, the late Paul Walker and Rachael Leigh Cook, as two high school popular guys place a bet that the other can turn any girl into prom queen in just one week. Obviously, geeky art student Rachael Leigh Cook (Laney) becomes the subject matter as they try to turn her from “ugly duckling to swan” before the big dance at high school.
Yes, it’s your stereotypical 90s’ flick featuring all the cheese, good music, fashion and stunning humans, which has now just finished filming a remake and well, it’s garnering a lot of attention.
Predominately so because it stars one of TikTok’s most known users, Addison Rae as the leading popular gal and influencer, trying to turn the school geek (Tanner Buchanan) into her prom king before school’s out.

This remake will also give credit to the original, starring OG actress Rachael Leigh Cook as Addison’s mother – cute!
Elsewhere in the movie, it has been reported that Kourtney Kardashian will make a cameo, which will be an acting first for the eldest KarJenner, with other well-known faces too set to fill the cast.
In terms of release date, it’s still unknown as to when exactly this flick will be dropping, but we will be thankfully getting it here in Ireland too as its set for global release in 190 countries.
All we can say is bring it on! This will definitely be one for cocktails and popcorn.
