Love Island’s Casey: ‘The Villa Is A Mess By The Finale’

Love Island 2026 is coming to a close – in just a few days.

And although we don’t know who’s going to win the show just yet, we also don’t know exactly what happens on the last day in the villa.

We don’t see the last day on camera. Anything could be going on. Apparently, according to Casey O’Gormon, the whole place is a mess.

The former Love Island winner told Heart Bingo that he even split his head open on the last day in the villa… and went on to win.

“We wake up in the morning, pack all of our cases – that’s when I split my head open on All Stars,” he says.

“Everyone in the final saw that I had this massive cut on my head. Then you go to a completely separate villa because they’d be taking down all of the villa. That whole day you get your haircuts, the girls would be getting their hair done, you’d be getting pedicures, manicures – all that stuff.

“We went straight into the final with no rehearsals. We filmed a scene for the start of the episode with Maya, which plays during the opener of the show. Filming that 30-second clip for the intro took the whole day.

“The couple of days before the final, there’s absolutely no filming for the actual show whatsoever.”

Casey also said that the villa is left in a complete mess with everyone’s stuff, which is probably why there’s no filming that day.

“It’s a mess! The amount of lost property that’s there from start to finish is crazy,” he says. There’s so many people who get dumped that forget so much stuff from the first week to the last.

“By the eighth week, it’s a mess – it’s crazy. When they get dumped at the beach club, they’re not allowed back in the villa to pack their own stuff – we have to do that for them. That would be my worst nightmare!”

There are plenty of stresses in the villa. One of the major ones being the tensions between islanders who don’t love each other.

“You have to suck it up and deal with it face on. You can’t escape it there,” he says. “There’s not a day when you can’t speak to someone.

“At the end of the day, you’re going to be living with these people 24/7, and you have to sleep in the same bedroom as them. If there is a problem or tension, you need to deal with it straight away.

“Tensions rise as the show goes on. If people are getting on your nerves, by eight weeks’ time, it’s tough to live in.

“There were definitely people in our series – when we got to the final week – everyone is in their couples, they want to get out there and not deal with the drama that’s in there.”
