At STELLAR HQ, we’re big fans of Hayu and each month, we’re bringing you some inspo for what to watch next. This month, podcast presenter Louise McSharry is revealing her reality faves as she tells us what you should be streaming on Hayu.

What show first brought you into the world of Hayu?

Well, I’d been watching The Real Housewives and lots of other reality TV shows in dodgy places around the internet so once I heard they were streaming on a solid platform I was like ‘SIGN ME UP’.

Which is your favourite Housewives city?

I find this question almost impossible to answer because I’ve been watching for fifteen years and my favourite changes all the time. I love New York always because of the madness and also I just like to be in New York with the gals. Beverly Hills always delivers glamour, but Atlanta brings the comedy.

Who’s your favourite housewife and why?

Again, this feels like choosing between my children. My favourite for entertainment value is probably Porsha from The Real Housewives of Atlanta, but the one I’d actually like to be friends with is probably Kyle from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She’s super honest and loyal and throws amazing parties.

Most iconic/hilarious Housewives moments?

Probably the Beverly Hills dinner in Amsterdam where Lisa Rinna goes full soap actress on Kim Richards. Scary Island with the New York Housewives is so full of non-stop drama it has to be mentioned. Avivia Drescher throwing her fake leg in New York is hard to beat.

Favourite Hayu quotes?

Dorinda from The Real Housewives of New York City: ‘I’ll tell ya how I’m doin’, not well bitch!’; ‘CLIP. CLIP.’ Scheana Shay from Vanderpump Rules: ‘It’s all happening.’ Bethenny and Luann from The Real Housewives of New York: ‘Please don’t say it’s about Tom.’ ‘It’s about Tom.’

Are you a Below Deck fan? Any favourite moments / cast members?

Obviously have to go for our hometown sweetheart Daisy Kelliher from Below Deck Sailing Yacht! I also loved the crew from Below Deck Mediterranean Season 6. It was really cool to see them love and support each other, and to see someone like Lloyd expressing his journey with his identity and sexuality and have it be met with compassion.

If you were a Real Housewife, what would your tagline be?

I talk a good game, and sometimes I even win!

What’s your favourite thing about reality TV?

It’s got everything you could possibly want. Glamour, comedy, drama, and real life. I think real people are infinitely more interesting than any character you could ever come up with.
