The Office Australia Is Here – Here’s All You Need To Know

How many times have you watched The US Office?

Once? Twice? Every night while you drift off to sleep listening to Steve Carell’s manic tones?

The sitcom is a rewatch special. A perfect show, if you will (minus season one, but listen, we all make mistakes).

The Office UK is just as bingeable, if maybe a tad more painful to watch all in one go. But if you’re in the market for a new cringe comedy that you haven’t seen more times than your family, then listen up.

Because The Office Australia is here… and you can stream season one on Prime Video now.

The Office Australia is the first of its kind, as it features a female boss – Hannah Howard, played by Aussie comedian Felicity Ward.

The official synopsis reads: “When Hannah gets news from the Head Office that they will be shutting down her branch and making everyone work from home, she goes into survival mode, making promises she can’t keep in order to keep her ‘work family’ together.

“The staff of Flinley Craddick indulge her and must endure Hannah’s outlandish plots as they work toward the impossible targets that have been set for them.”

The series also stars Flinley Craddick as Sydney, Edith Poor as Lizze Moyle, Steen Raskopoulos as Nick Fletcher, and Shari Sebbens as Greta King.

From the trailer alone, it’s already clear who’s supposed to be who (Jim and Pam down under, anyone?)

“I’ve never been so excited to play an optimist incompetent trapped in her own delulu,” said Felicity. “Hannah Howard is every bit the disappointment of a boss we’d all hope she’d be.”

This isn’t the third time The Office has been adapted. It’s not even the fourth, or fifth… it’s the 13th!

The series has adaptations all over the world, including Germany, India, and Canada.

Executive producers and writers, Julie De Fina and Jackie van Beek said: “We hope that audiences love watching the thirteenth version of The Office as much as we loved making the thirteenth version of The Office. Great cast, superb crew, excellent catering.”
