Uh-Oh, There Was A Big Blunder At Last Night’s Billboard Awards
We can see how this could happen...

Last night’s Billboard Music Awards took place in Los Angeles, once again, a safely held event with an audience in attendance and a proper IRL red carpet and awards acceptance segment for the most part.
With stars like Megan Fox, Machine Gun Kelly, P!nk and her kids as well as Nick and Priyanka Jonas to name a few turning heads on arrival, the night was overall a successful one, but like any live awards show, never short of a blunder or two.
And the blunder of the night goes to… the moment when DaBaby’s hit Rockstar featuring Roddy Ricch won Top Rap Song of 2021.
Coming up to receive his award, DaBaby was greeted by not his hit track, but the 2018 song by Post Malone of the same name. Yikes!

Accepting the award and making light of the accidental track play, DaBaby said:
“It’s me, It’s me, I’ll live with that,” despite hearing another Rockstar hit over the speakers.
Those on Twitter were quick to spot the faux pas too, with everyone confused, to fearing for the person in charge of the track list.
The BBMAs just played the wrong “Rockstar” when DaBaby and Roddy Ricch won… 🙃pic.twitter.com/sGJ9oFcMaL

I don’t like dababy but that’s so disrespectful to play the wrong song while an artist is winning top rap song

DaBaby also took home the honors for Top Streaming Song for the same track, which was in the top spot for seven weeks.
Explaining that he’s counting his blessings given the year it was, overall, DaBaby seemed nothing short of chuffed with his victorious night.
