The First Ever Guinness Winterfest Is Coming
'Tis the season, after all.
Now that it’s late November, we’re basically in the midst of Christmas. It’s time to banish that niggling Grinch-esque phrase, “it’s too early”. It’s time to get that tree up, wrap those pressies and jam as many Christmas themed events in as possible. Cue, the first ever Guinness Winterfest.
This December, the Guinness Open Gate Brewery will be transformed into an extraordinary Christmas festival, complete with a seasonally inspired line-up of entertainment. The brewery has opened its doors to local food vendors, designers, gift makers, DJs, bands, comedians, choirs and more.
So, you can expect a jam-packed evening full of festive fun, if you will. Just like other amazing Christmas markets around Ireland, there’s plenty of festive stalls to browse through for fun and different gifts that go beyond the usual Christmas wish list. Expect gorgeous crafts and jewellery, prints and quirky cards, apparel and homewares, confectionery and decorations and much more.
As for the foodies, there’s even more to enjoy. With everything from sweet to savoury, I’ll be making a bee-line for the bubbling cheese toasties, followed by the churros with chocolate dip. Simply divine.
Guinness Winterfest will roll out serious festive feels from Thursday 5th December to Sunday 8th December 2019 and from Thursday 12th December to Sunday 15th December 2019. It will be open to members of the public, aged 18 and over, from 4-10pm on Thursday and Fridays, from 1-10pm on Saturdays and from 1-7pm on Sundays.
You can nab your tickets on Eventbrite, which will give you access to Guinness Winterfest plus a pint of Guinness or one of the festive inspired Guinness Open Gate brewer’s experimental beers, for just €10.
