The Latest Instalment Of Wagatha Christie Involves Zoom Calls With Lawyers

“They are still at loggerheads and nothing has been resolved.”

The Colleen Rooney versus Rebekah Vardy scandal has gone down as one of the biggest dramas of 2019. So juicy was the gossip that the phrase ‘Wagatha Christie’ were coined and forever cemented it into modern pop culture. Not long after the story first unfolded it was reported that the wives were suing each other.

According to The Sun the footballer’s wives have since been trying to settle the dispute without going to court. To do this, they’re having to communicate the same way we all are…through Zoom. Apparently these virtual meetings, were an Alternative Dispute Resolution, designed to keep a case out of court and settle outside.

It included many legal representatives and lawyers but it was unsuccessful as the pair still could not agree on a “way forward.” It is now believed that that case will have to go to court eventually and that it could “drag on for months.”

A source revealed that; “Basically, they are still at loggerheads and nothing has been resolved.”

The story first came about in October of last year when  Coleen Rooney took to social media to reveal that she believes she has found out who was leaking fake stories about her to the papers.

The mum-of-four said that many elements of her private life had ended up in the media and so she came up with a plan to catch the person leaking the stories.

The 33-year-old blocked everyone except for fellow footballer’s wife Rebekah Vardy from viewing her private Instagram stories and began sharing fake information on it to see if it would end up in the media.

She wrote: “For a few years now someone who I trusted to follow me on my personal Instagram account has been consistently informing The Sun newspaper of my private posts and stories.

“There has been so much information given to them about me, my friends and my family – all without my permission or knowledge.”

She revealed that this had been going on for several years, with the most recent story about her basement flooding also being totally fake.

“After a long time of trying to figure out who it could be, for various reasons, I had a suspicion.

“To try and prove this, I came up with an idea, I blocked everyone from viewing Instagram except ONE account. (Those on my private account must have been wondering why I haven’t had stories on there for a while).”

She added: “Over the past five months I have posted a series of false stories to see if they made their way into the Sun newspaper. And you know what, they did! The story about gender selection in Mexico, the story about returning to TV and then the latest story about the basement flood in my new house.”

“It’s been tough keeping it to myself and not making any comment at all, especially when the stories have been leaked, however, I had to. Now I know for certain which account/individual it’s come from. I have saved and screenshotted all the original stories which clearly show just one person has viewed them.”

She concluded: “It’s……… Rebekah Vardy’s account.”

Minutes after Coleen’s initial post, Rebekah Vardy responded.

The 37-year-old strongly denied the accusations, and said that many people have had access to her account over the years.

Taking to Twitter under Coleen’s post, Rebekah posted a screenshot of a note in which she expressed her wish that Colleen had contacted her first to speak to her.
