The Possible Reason Behind Scott Disick And Sofia Richie’s Split

After news broke this week that Scott Disick and Sofia Richie had split, the rumour mill instantly went into overdrive as to the possible reasons why. The pair who first began dating in the summer of 2017, made the decision to split after Scott’s latest stint in rehab.

Up until now it was unclear why the couple had gone their separate ways but US Weekly have reported that it is because Sofia felt Scott still had feelings for Kourtney Kardashian.

Kourtney and Scott were together (although their relationship was frequently on and off) from 2006 to 2015. They have three children together, Mason who is 10, Penelope, 7 and Reign, 5.

Apparently it was, at times, difficult for 21 year old Sofia, as she often felt that with Scott still appearing in KUWTK, “his family was more of a priority than she was, and his family would be his main priority over anything and anyone.”

The pair were dating for a year before Sofia met Kourtney and according to reports; “Scott is always going to be in love with Kourtney, and that’s something Sofia has had to face since even before she got serious with him.”

After Scott’s stint in rehab he went and spent his 37th birthday with Kourtney, her family and his kids in Lake Powell, without Sofia, confirming their split.

It had been reported that this particular trip to rehab was Scott seeking help for past traumas and that “He made the decision to get help for himself and for her and their relationship.” Apparently Sofia has been the driving force behind getting Scott to go in the first place, but it seems afterwards they made the decision to split.

Scott also apparently told Sofia that this year he would make more of an effort with her family. Sofia is forever seen hanging out with the Kardashians and has a really close bond to Kylie Jenner, even recently going on an intimate Kylie Skin trip with the billionaire to Turks and Caicos.

“He values family above all else and will always look to build a bond with Sofia and her family, and would never want to detract from it,” the source continued.

Sofia and Scott started dating in the summer of 2017. Neither of them have yet to comment on the split.
