Aaaw! The Reason Pippa O’Connor Named Her Newborn Son ‘Louis’ Is Incredibly Sweet

Pippa O’Connor and Brian Ormond welcomed their second son Louis four weeks ago, and to mark his first month in the world, his proud mum shared a sweet update via her blog.

Sharing some one-month milestone pictures of her newborn, Pippa revealed that little Louis has “just slotted into our family like he’s always belonged here.”

The 31-year-old admitted that she still can’t wrap her head around the idea that she and Brian are parents to two young boys – they now have Louis and his big brother, three-year-old Ollie at home.

“I still can’t believe I’m a mother of two children,” she wrote. “It sounds very grown up. I still feel like I’m 21. I don’t look it mind you but in my head I’m still that young!”

As for her choice of title for her second son, Pippa explained that the name had some very emotional ties. Little Louis was named in honour of Pippa’s mum Louise, who passed away unexpectedly in October 2014 after a heart attack.

“The main reason we chose Louis was it’s the male version of ‘Louise’, after my Mum,” Pippa wrote. “Louis is French for ‘famous warrior’, I love it and I liked how well it went with Ollie.”

Pippa has spoken in the past about how hard it was to process her mum’s sudden death aged just 61, though she still keeps pictures of her “all over the place” to keep her memory alive for her sons.

“Sometimes it just hits you. Your parents are most likely going to go before you, but I suppose you don’t think it’ll be that soon,” she told the Irish Independent last year.
