The Reason Revealed: Why Kimye Are Divorcing

When the headlines revealed that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were officially getting divorced nobody was really surprised as rumours about their split have been circulating for some time. However, now the couple’s divorce papers have been made public revealing the official reason for their marriage ending.

The court documents were printed in The Sun this weekend and show that Kim marked ‘irreconcilable differences’ as her reason behind the decision to end their marriage.

It was already revealed that the KUWTK star was seeking joint custody of their children, and this paperwork confirms that.

They share four children together, Psalm who is a year and a half old, Chicago, 3, Saint, 5 and their eldest, North is 7. A source previously shared that Kim held off on her decision for this long for their sake; “She wants to make sure she’s making the right decision for the kids.”

The couple, who married in May of 2014, arguably one of the biggest celeb weddings ever, signed a prenup and inside sources have shared that neither Kim or Kanye wish to contest this.

Kim officially filed for divorce on Friday the 19th of February after six years of marriage.

The ‘irreconcilable differences’ seem to stem from incidents last summer, when Kanye’s bipolar disorder worsened resulting in a number of erratic outbursts last year.

Kim supported her husband through this, despite some of the hurtful things he said about her and her family, which he later apologised for. She released a public statement at the time too which reminded fans that her husband is battling a mental illness.

However, it seems it has all got too much for the star as now their relationship has officially come to an end.
