The Script Announce A Free Gig For All Healthcare Workers In Ireland
“The very least for us to do in order to give back to their amazing sacrifices during this pandemic."
We have seen many acts of generosity from celebrities over the past few weeks to aid those struggling with or on the frontline of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The most recent is from Irish band, The Script who are going to host a free gig in Ireland for healthcare staff on the frontline.
Taking to Instagram, lead singer Danny shared the exciting announcement.
The singer said that this free gig was a thank you to all the healthcare workers for the past few weeks and the many weeks to come and all they have done. He went on to say that;
“We can’t thank them enough for their continued service to everyone, much more now than ever.”
“They make sacrifices day in and day out, working harder than anyone. Not only to make sure we have access to resources in order for us to continue to live happy and healthy lives, but to also help us and our loved ones through some of the hardest points in our lives.”
“The very least for us to do in order to give back to their amazing sacrifices during this pandemic is getting to put on a free show for 13,000 HSE and NHS staff at the 3Arena in Dublin.”
The show will take place in February 2021 in Dublin’s 3 Arena and is for all those working in the healthcare system, in the HSE in the Republic and the NHS in Northern Ireland.
Tickets go on sale on Tuesday 7th of April at 7pm, and two are available to each healthcare worker, for themsleves plus a guest.
We can’t think of anyone that deserves this more than our health workers right now.
