Fans of The Weeknd were left devastated over the weekend after the singer was forced to cancel a concert mid-song as a result of him losing his voice.
He was just a few songs into the sold-out concert, which took place at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium when he stopped in the middle of singing “Can’t Feel My Face” and made the tough decision.
The Canadian musician walked off the stage, before returning to tell the stunned audience he had to “stop the show” saying, “I can’t give you the concert I want to give you. I’m going to make sure everyone’s good, gets your money back, and I’ll do a show real soon for you guys, but I wanted to come out and personally apologize and not tweet it or Instagram it.”

“I wanted you guys to know that I can’t give you what I want to give you. I apologize. I’m so sorry,” he continued.
Visibly upset, he stood on the stage while the crowd cheered showing their support before adding, “You know how much this kills me. I love you. Thank you so much.”
Shortly after, he uploaded a Twitter post, once again expressing his apologies and outlining what happened, while promising he would return with a new date. Having already performed at SoFi Stadium the previous night; both dates at the Los Angeles venue were part of the singer’s 2022 tour in support of his most recent albums, “Dawn FM” and 2020’s “After Hours.”

This isn’t the first blow to the singer’s latest tour as the opening date in his hometown of Toronto, on July 8, had to be postponed because of a Rogers wireless network outage.
However, despite it all, the tour is now expected to move on through Mexico, South America, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Africa & Middle East. With a busy year ahead of him, we can also expect to see his new six-part series ‘The Idol” which he developing, co-writing and starring in.
We wish him a speedy recovery!!
