Tony From 13 Reasons Why Just Destroyed A Major Fan Theory About His Character

He also shared his thoughts on Season Two.

Tony from Netflix original series, 13 Reasons Why, was probably the most mysterious character in the show. He seemed to know everything about Hannah Baker, but nobody ever knew much about him.

He was incredibly wise for a high school kid, offering all sorts of Obi Wan Kenobi advice to bestie Clay Jensen throughout the series, leading some fans to believe he might not be a normal 17-year-old at all.

The theory? Tony’s a ghost. But the actor who plays him, Christian Navarro, just shot that theory down in a recent interview with Elite Daily.

“There was a big [theory] that was like, Tony’s a ghost. And I was like ‘Watch the show, man. There’s no way. I interact with everybody; Tony’s a real guy,'” he said.

“That one was a little bit of a stretch to me. Sometimes these fan theories are incredibly impressive and ahead of the curve and shock me, but that was not one of them. It would be amazing, but no.”

Then when asked about his hopes for Tony in Season Two, he said, “I would love for someone to come and be Tony’s Tony. Someone to take care of him, because he takes care of everyone.”

So there you have it. He’s not supernatural, just super sensitive.
