Uh Oh! Lena Dunham Has Apologised For Defending Co-Worker Accused Of Rape

Lena Dunham has been caught up in Hollywood’s sexual assault scandals this week, after she wrote a letter of support for her co-worker on Girls, who was accused of rape.

Lena, who is open about being a feminist, released a statement along with Jenni Konner, after Murray Miller was accused of the rape of Aurora Perrineau when she was 17.

The now 23 year old Aurora, filed a complaint against Miller, saying that he forced himself on her when was a minor.

In Lena’s statement, she alleged that the accusations against her friend and co-worker were part of the 3% of all sexual assault allegations that turn out to be false.

Twitter followers of the Girls star were quick to criticize the actress, saying a feminist would never doubt the word of a woman who claims she was raped.
