Wait, Did Liam Payne Just Confirm A One Direction Reunion?
Is it too early to make 1D forever t-shirts?
Liam Payne has revealed that he’s speaking to the One Direction boys amid talks that a reunion is coming to celebrate 10 years since the band came together.
While speaking to James Cordon via web chat on the Late Late Show, Liam admitted that he “couldn’t give too much away” when pressed with questions about the potential reunion and new music.
“I’m not allowed to say too much obviously because I would be giving it away.
And although we would love to see the band back together (yes, all five of them), at the moment it’s just Liam, Louis and Niall in talks as Liam didn’t mention any conversations with Harry and more obviously, Zayn Malik who left the band in 2015 to be a “normal 22-year-old.”Originally, it was rumoured that the band would reform before summer but with the coronavirus pandemic and their own schedules and tours being postponed, it looks like we could be waiting longer than expected.
Speaking to The Sun, a source said:
‘They are back in touch but talks between them are online about something small to mark the anniversary.
“A reunion with all five members is a wonderful idea but in practice these things take a long time to arrange and it doesn’t seem feasible at the moment.”
However, this moment of pause might also work in the fans favour as the boys enjoy a little bit of downtime, who knows, it could end up becoming the perfect time to plan a reunion.
2021 would do us boys, please?
