Wait… Is This Why Gigi Hadid Attended The Met Gala Solo While Zayn Stayed At Home?

While new couples like Selena Gomez and The Weeknd and J-Lo and Alex Rodriguez made their red carpet debuts at last night’s Met Gala, model Gigi Hadid was noticeably solo.

Unlike last year, when she was snapped with boyfriend Zayn Malik, the model posed for pics alone and fans were devastated that Zayn didn’t make an appearance at the star-studded event.

So why was he absent? Well, there’s no official party line from either of the couple’s reps, but Hollywood Life do point out that Zayn was spotted with a foot injury just a few days before the event.

The singer was photographed entering Gigi’s NYC apartment in a wheelchair with his foot in a cast.

Zayn or no Zayn though, Gigi still looked fabulous, wearing a nude Tommy Hilfiger gown for the evening. We’ll bet Zayn got lots of TLC when she made it home.
