Watch: This Beauty Vlogger Perfectly Shuts Down Body Shamers Who Say Fat Girls Shouldn’t Wear Bikinis

“Apparently fat girls in bikinis get a lot of mixed reviews,” says 22 year old vlogger Loey Lane in her latest vlog, “so I thought I’d give you a list today of all the reasons why fat girls shouldn’t wear bikinis. Apparently.”

Fed up with being told she is “too fat” to wear a bikini Loey then goes on to list some of the totally ridiculous reasons people have said she shouldn’t wear a two-piece on the beach like everybody else this summer, before shutting each and every one of those reasons down.

Reckon bikinis don’t look good on bigger girls? “I didn’t realise there was a meeting and all the people who are allowed to decide what’s attractive and what’s not are now commenters on YouTube,” says Loey.

Think it’s promoting obesity? “I have to say, when I’m sitting there on a beach in a bikini I’m not usually shoving my face full of junk food or screaming at the top of my lungs that everyone should be overweight… I’m usually just sitting there minding my own business,” Loey explains.

“It is really scary to think that because someone is wearing less clothing, they’re asking for some sort of feedback,” she continues. “Any woman, no matter what her size, any man, any human being, they’re not looking for your approval or your praise of what they’re wearing.”
