We Could Be Getting New Solo Music From Perrie Edwards Very Soon

Ohhh we've been waiting for this!

Following Little Mix’s split last summer, we have been sorely deprived of new music from our favs. But it looks like that’s all about to change, as Perrie Edwards is reportedly embarking on a solo career!

According to The Sun, Perrie has been in talks with Columbia Records, the same label which represents Lil Nas X, Harry Styles, Adele, Beyonce, and Calvin Harris.

A source told the publication: “Perrie is super-talented and label execs think she could be a global star.

“They are very keen to ink a deal soon and talks have been ongoing. Perrie is bursting with ideas for solo material.”

Perrie also opened up about getting back into music recently, saying: “It’s all going really well. ‘I’m just having so much fun experimenting with different sounds. It’s really good.

“I’m so lucky, I’m working with such amazing people. I’m really grateful. I want to make music that I love.”

And Perrie isn’t the only Little Mixer, who will reportedly be releasing solo work soon.

Last year, Leigh-Anne Pinnock signed with Warner Music, the label behind artist such as Charli XCX and Dua Lipa, with a source telling The Mirror at the time: “A number of labels were keen to bag Leigh-Anne but Warner seemed the best fit.

“She’s already been in the studio working on tracks for months.”

As has their fellow bandmate Jade Thirlwall…

At the end of last year, Jade reportedly signed to Atlantic records, the label behind artist such as Bruno Mars, Cardi B, FKA twigs, and Jack Harlow.

With a source telling The Mirror: “Jade’s been working super-hard on the new music and those who have heard the tracks say they sound amazing.”

“Jade has already met with Sony to talk things through but has really been impressed by Atlantic — and all signs point to her going with them.”
