What Team STELLAR Is Loving This Week

All the bits

It’s officially August and summer seems to have finally arrived.

Better late than never, we suppose…

To celebrate, here’s all the things we’ve been loving this week – from public transport based fashion to stunning socks, there truly is something for everyone.

Head of Digital Jade is loving… A seafood tower

A recovering vegetarian turned pescatarian, I’ve been spending the past few years eating all of the delicious fish I can muster.

Much of that fish appeared on a recent seafood platter I indulged in The Westbury’s Wilde restaurant, alongside a flight of beautiful Minuty rosé.

Wilde recently launched their The Summer on the Terrace menu, which features a seafood tower with a selection of dill cured salmon, Carlingford Lough rock oysters, seared tuna sashimi alongside West Cork mussels, brown crab claws, prawns and crusty bread to mop up all that tasty sauce with.

Paired with the rosé, it was the perfect way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon, amidst the flowers and greenery of the restaurant. What a treat!

Commercial manager Patrick is loving… DART summer

If the rumours of Brat summer being over are true, then I’m fully ready for DART summer. To celebrate 40 years since the first DART left from Bray station bound for Howth, Irish Rail have marked the birthday with what has become the must-have accessory of the summer.

They teamed up with Irish designer Lynn Haughton, founder of the multi-award winning community The Upcycle Movement, to celebrate 40 years of the DART by creating a limited edition handmade crossbody bag using the iconic DART upholstery.

The bags caused a huge stir on social media, but they’re not available to buy – although Irish Rail did give away a small number of them on social media this week.

Jade is loving… A new lip look

I don’t pay enough attention to my lips. I’ll do a full face meticulously but throw on some gloss last minute, forgetting to reapply throughout the day, leaving my lips bare and boring.

I’ve been trying to get better at remembering that lip products exist, and that I can, in fact, use them. The latest brand I’ve got tucked away in my tote is BPerfect.

They recently launched their Lip Library Collection, a range of gorgeous glosses, lipsticks, and liners to suit any occasion.

The ‘Villain Trio’ has got to be my favourite. How glam?

This week, I’m sipping Kendall Jenner’s 818 Tequila, which is available now at IrishDrinkShop.com. Available in 3 fab flavours – Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo – these tequilas are the perfect addition to any summer gathering.

I’m LOVING them in margaritas and palomas; they bring a smooth, vibrant twist to the classic cocktails. Each bottle is priced at €67, making it a luxurious yet worthwhile treat for your bar cart. Whether you’re a tequila aficionado or just looking to elevate your cocktail game, add 818 to your shopping list!

Jade is loving… A funky, grippy sock

Are you a pilates girl? Do you adore a sunrise yoga? Are you consistently eager for a sock with ample grip that will allow you to engage in both of these activities comfortably, while also looking super adorable?

Let us introduce you to Soul Studio, a new Irish brand created out of a love for pilates and style.

Michelle Coyle started reformer pilates after the first lockdown lifted, and found that she craved a grippy sock that wore well, and suited her vibe.

Fast forward a few years and Soul Studio was born. Their first summer drop has landed and it features socks for the strawberry, palm tree, and coffee lovers alike. How gorgeous are they?

Digital Editor Bronwyn is loving… fresh hair

Look, I’m a busy woman. And getting to the hairdressers can slip down the to-do list pretty quickly.

Thankfully Josh Wood Colour is here to help a girl out. With his incredible root touch-up powders and dreamy glosses there is something for everyone.

And you can do it all at home, without a worry in the world. Honestly pop the gloss on and your hair has a brand new life!

Jade is loving… A crisp cold one

But make it non-alcoholic, okay?

There’s been a lot of drinking happening this summer, and that’s all well and good, but sometimes you do be craving a wee sip that won’t leave you feeling worse for wear in the morning.

Lucky for me, a Dundalk brewery is the latest to enter the alcohol free market with their beer, Fierce Mild.

A refreshing, extra pale ale that defies convention and offers a great tasting experience, Fierce Mild is an alcohol-free beer brewed in a special way to ensure it retains its full expression.

Cheers!
