It looks like all the Little Mix members, right down to Perrie Edwards’ dog (yes, really) have unfollowed former bandmate Jesy Nelson as the star releases her first debut track since leaving the band.

Leaving the group in December 2020, Jesy admitted that being part of Little Mix had taken its toll on her mental health, noting that she was persistently compared to her bandmates.

Speaking on the latest episode of Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place podcast, Jesy admitted that she not only found the comparisons “draining”, but she actually felt both “trapped” and “miserable” in the band.

Although Jesy’s exit almost one year ago came as a shock to us fans, it seems as though tensions might have been rising in the group, as Jesy has recently admitted that the girls haven’t really spoken since the 30-year-old left the band.

Speaking to Glamour UK, Jesy confessed that the silence has felt “weird” as the foursome went from sharing their lives together to what Jesy now calls “nothing”.

“It is weird because for so many years we were as close as sisters, together every hour of the day for weeks, sharing beds, laughing, crying just 24/7 the four of us together and then… Nothing.

“We’ve sent a few texts, but that’s it. I can’t explain it, it’s like there has to be this distance. We were so close so you can’t do in-between, there has to be space.

“Hopefully, at some point in the future, we can all come back together. I love them. They are my sisters in so many ways, but for the time being we just don’t talk,” Jesy added.

Now, it looks as though all members of the current Little Mix group have unfollowed Jesy on social media, with Jesy recently culling her own Instagram account down to two follows, both of who appear on her new track – P Diddy and Nicki Minaj.

So far, Jesy’s new track has been met with mixed reviews, with some loving it and some, not as sold; something of which Jesy said herself would happen when people heard her new sound for the first time.

The track Boyz is available to stream now.
