Where Do We Sign Up?! Ed Sheeran’s Filming A Music Video In Ireland – And He Wants YOU To Star In It
Can you ceili dance though?
If you’re still reeling from Ed Sheeran’s surprise new music drop, two new tracks Shape Of You and Castle On The Hill that he released on Friday, then prepare yourself to get a whole lot more excited, because Ed has just announced he’ll be filming one of his new music videos right here on Irish soil.
It’s no secret that Ed, who spent some time busking on the streets of Galway, has a deep love for our little Isle and that’s why he’s chosen Ireland as a destination for his material.
The only prerequisite? You need to be able to ceili dance.
Speaking to 2FM’s Eoghan McDermott Ed confirmed that he’s on the hunt for dancers to appear in a video for an upcoming song, which he says is “really going to explode in Ireland.”
“I’m definitely shooting a video for the song in Ireland,” he confirmed. “I will be doing it because I need proper ceili dancers.”
The song in question is a collaboration with a trad band from Belfast and features a fiddle, pipe and bodhran.
“We really jam and it’s going to be good,” Ed said of the new collaboration. “I do think I’ll never be able to play a song in Ireland again because this one will just be the song.”
So there you have it, Ed’s going to drop an Irish-inspired banger and he wants Irish peeps to star in it.
Just give us a date and a time and we’re there, questionable ceili dancing and all.
