Who is Odessa A’zion? 2026’s It Girl
She's everywhere, tbf
Odessa A’zion – the name on everybody’s lips who has logged onto Twitter (X) over the past few weeks, or who has happened to have seen the new Timothée Chalamet film.
The 25 year old actress seemingly came out of nowhere. One day she was an unknown child actress appearing in episodes of Nashville, and the next she was storming red carpets, starring in ‘it’ projects, and enjoying all of the ramifications of becoming suddenly famous.
But who is Odessa, what has she starred in, and why is everybody taking about her?
Who is Odessa A’zion?
Odessa is a 25 year old actress from LA. She was born in 2000 to award winning actress Pamela Adlon and German director Felix Adlon, the former appearing in well known series like The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon and King of the Hill.
She was a teenager when her parents allowed her to start attending auditions. She landed her first role in a film created by her mother, eventually going on to star in sitcom Fam alongside The Vampire Diaries actress Nina Dobrev.
“I was fully convinced I’m never going to book anything ever,” she told Vanity Fair. “I must suck balls.”

She went on to say that she isn’t too keen to look back at her earlier work saying, “I’ve hated every single performance of mine. If you’re a painter and don’t want to show your early work, you don’t have to.
“When you’re acting, things that you would now call mistakes still exist in the world.”
What has she appeared in?
Odessa is probably best known for her role in Rachel Sennott’s I Love LA, where she plays influencer Tallulah, a Gen Z creator who has just moved from New York to LA to jumpstart her stagnant career.

She most recently stars in Marty Supreme, the new Josh Safdie movie where she plays opposite Timothée Chalamet in a story of drama, comedy, and intense table tennis.
Odessa has also had a series of smaller roles over the years, including Fam, Nashville, and Grand Army.
Why is everyone talking about her?
Odessa is, like most it girls of her time, having a moment. She’s young, she’s got a striking look, and she’s really good at what she does.
While the actress may not be keen to revisit her earlier credits, she has been praised for her recent performance in Marty Supreme – a film that has been hailed a “masterpiece” and is tipped for some serious wins this awards season.
She also recently updated her #look – a must for any Hollywood it girl – appearing on the Marty Supreme red carpet in a self designed structured gown inspired by 1920s style, with her now signature curls and septum ring.

The red carpet, however, wasn’t without its controversy as Odessa was dubbed a zionist on Twitter – predominantly due to her name and the fact that she is Jewish.
Odessa quickly addressed the rumours, commenting “debunking!!! not a zio” beneath a post questioning her apparent support of the Israeli state.
She later clarified her comments after photos of her wearing an IDF shirt were shared online, stating: “I do not support the IDF or Netanyahu in any way! I wish I had known the significance of that shirt when I was a kid, unfortunately I didn’t then, but I know now and it’s not something I support at all! Putting this to rest!”
What’s next for Odessa?
The critical success of Marty Supreme will no doubt open a lot of doors for Odessa, but right now her name has yet to be attached to any additional major projects.
She will likely appear in the upcoming second series of I Love LA, and has two movies currently in post production: Nickels and For The Night.
Whatever she gets up to the next year or so, you’re sure to hear a lot of chat about Odessa A’zion.
