Sonny Drummond from Westmeath has just made a huge step in his career, as he walked the Dior runway this week.
The 17-year-old has the most hilarious, and Irish scouting story ever, as he was spotted at this year’s Longitude by Elite, the model management agency back in July. Now fast forward a couple of months, and he’s making waves with some of the world’s biggest fashion houses.
The show was no ordinary one either, celebrating their 75th birthday, Dior chose the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt as their venue, in what is said to be one of the biggest fashion events ever staged in Egypt. He was one of 75 men to close the show.
Chatting about the experience, Sonny told the Irish Times that he met both Lila Grace (Kate Moss’s daughter) and Lewis Hamilton at the show, and that being chosen for the show was:
“the most insane news for me, and weird to have this incredible opportunity randomly landed on you.”
