Zara Larsson Is In Her Revival Era – & We’re Here For It

Zara Larsson is officially back on our radar – and she’s reclaiming her place as the princess of pop. The Swedish singer has been in the pop game since her hit singles ‘Lush Life’ and ‘Never Forget You’ soundtracking our early noughties summers. But 2025 has brought a full-blown Zara revival – and we’re here for it!
With a sold-out European tour, chart topping new singles and a TikTok viral meme, she’s becoming one of the internet’s most watched pop girls once again. And honestly? This new revival of hers seems better than ever!
Before her latest wave of hype, Zara had already cemented herself as one of the 2010s biggest pop idols. Many will remember the summers of 2016, 2017, where all you could hear on the radio was ‘Lush Life’, and any snippet of that song brings us back to that time, full of King Kylie era, rose tinted glasses and snapchat dog filters.
Her other breakthrough hits include ‘Ain’t My Fault’, along with her collab with Clean Bandit for ‘Symphony’, and many more made her one of the defining voices from that time. She even featured as the main vocalist for David Guetta’s song ‘This One’s for You’, which was Euro2016’s official song.

Zara wasn’t just another chart regular either, she came with confidence, attitude and that feel good sound that turned her into a global favourite long before her 2025 even began.
However, just before the turn of the decade, Zara sort of vanished as we saw less and less of her singles hitting the charts. And just as we were about the mourn the loss of another 2010s pop princess, she made a full revival and began a comeback unlike any other!
Her journey came after a dolphin meme trend with her song ‘Symphony’ went viral. The trend showed users posting dark confession to their socials with the background consisting of colour dolphins and rainbows, in a very aquamarine style.
‘Symphony’ contrasted nicely to the very revealing confessions that users online were making. This trend took over TikTok and even saw Zara Larsson herself partaking in the trend. From that moment on we were reintroduced to her incredible hits, and her new look began to form.

A year after the trend made its rounds online, Zara shared her new single ‘Midnight Sun’, and fans across the world were in awe of her rebrand. While some other artist may have taken offence to their brand being associated with a dolphin meme, Zara saw this as an opportunity and made one of the best changes to her on stage persona.
She went full aquamarine mode and embraced the madness as the music video for her new single dropped – and everyone, including myself, fell head over heels for her new look!
The song gained huge popularity on social media, with a viral dance trend becoming the main feed of our Instagram and TikTok pages. The single peaked at number eight in the world, which was a first for her since the 2010s.

Shortly after, Zara reveiled that her new album Midnight Sun would be dropping in September. After only a day of being released, the album gained 3.87 million streams on Spotify. She also announced a tour starting off in Europe in October – and this was just the beginning of Zara’s comeback to stardom.
Her tour saw thousands of fans flocking out to arenas, dressing in her newfound signature style as she sold our shows across the continent, including a show in Dublin back at the start of November. Fans were stunned by her jam packed shows and the level of energy put into each performance.
Many clips of her live shows went viral on TikTok including the part where she pulls a member of the audience to join her on stage to sing and dance to ‘Lush Life’. Fans across the world have been going crazy for this and eagerly await each evening to see which fan she chooses.

One fan that made an impression was Julia, at Zara’s Amsterdam show. With viewers amazed at her performance along with Zara, the song was back trending on TikTok and apparently in the charts too, as it hit number 39 in the official UK charts.
Larsson recently had a featured onPink Pantheress’s new song ‘Fancy Some More?’ which has seen her gain even more recognition, as the song takes over our social media and our playlists too!
Larsson’s personality and humour is what fans love about her – she feels relatable yet still shows us that she is of course, the princess of pop.
Zara is set to embark on her North American leg of her tour starting in February, and was only announced this week that she will be preforming at Electric Picnic next summer.
This revival is nothing short of iconic and we are so excited to see what’s next for Ms Larsson!
