Zara’s Family Share Their Thoughts On Controversial Love Island Truth Or Dare Game

Fans aren't happy with how Zara is being treated!

Love Island fans aren’t happy with the show following a game of truth or dare in the villa, which many felt was unfair to bombshell Zara Deniz.

During the challenge Olivia Hawkins, who doesn’t get along with Zara, was dared to kiss the two most attractive contestants, choosing newly-arrived bombshell Spencer Wilks and Tom Clare, who is coupled up with Zara.

Following Olivia’s dare, Tom was asked to pick the three islanders that make up his ideal partner; he chose Olivia’s face, Zara’s body, and Lana Jenkins’ personality. Fellow islander Aaron Waters named Zara as the person most likely to talk about him behind his back. While Lana confessed she thinks Zara and Tom are the least compatible couple.

Many felt the challenge was unnecessarily harsh, with Zara being targeted too many times.

Following the controversial clip, Zara’s family have spoken out.

With her brother Alex saying: “She is a very strong woman who knows her own mind – she can handle the drama.”

While her mum Denise added: “We understand people’s concerns when they see she is visibly upset. We know the show is highly edited and that Zara is free to leave at any time.”

“Zara went into the villa with her eyes wide open, and warned us that we’ll be seeing 24 hours condensed into 50 minutes each night.”

The challenge follows Olivia and Zara’s feud which has been on-going since property developer Zara landed in the villa on day three.

Since they have never stated on the show that they know each other, fans are wondering if the other islanders know about the connection. And first dumpee of the season David Salako recently revealed there is some tension between Olivia and Zara.

A fan asked David if Olivia and Zara spoke about knowing each other outside of the show, and he revealed all, “Yeah this is something that was discussed in the villa. I think Zara told everyone that she knew Liv and Liv confirmed.”

“I just want to confirm that the beef with Zara and Olivia is 100% real.”

But he did point out how the girls ended their drama, but wasn’t sure that was enough. “They’ve squashed the beef now but, personally I feel like there’s going to be some more to come,” he explained.
