Zayn Malik Is Telling All In His First Interview In Six Years

Zayn Malik has shocked fans all over the world by doing his first interview in six years; and it’s not any old chat – the One Directioner is talking to Alex Cooper of Call Her Daddy, known for her in depth discussions and revealing questions.

Alex teased her listeners (and watchers) with a snippet from the interview, showing Zayn talking about his time as a member of one of the world’s most famous bands, and mentioning his daughter Khai, who he shares with model Gigi Hadid.

In the clip, Zayn talks about being in the spotlight as a young person.

“I feel like we were so overexposed in the band…that’s why I took the time that I have to, like, not even necessarily do interviews.”

Later the singer referenced fatherhood, saying “Since I’ve had my daughter, the main thing in my mind is trying to be a good example to her.”

“That’s why I’m even doing this interview, you know?” he added. “I used to get a lot of anxiety around having a conversation like this.

“And I want her to be able to look at me and be like, ‘My dad’s doing this.’”

Zayn also joked that being a parents is leaking into his humour. “I keep being told I’m telling dad jokes. And I’m leaning into it. I’m just like, ‘It’s OK. It’s cool.’”

The interview comes as Zayn recently teased new music on his Instagram, sending fans into a spiral – especially after Liam Payne commented “this sounds big already” and a clapping emoji.
