5 Outfit Hacks To Take You From Desk to Drinks
Dashing off for drinks after your 9-to-5? Here’s how to go from work to party, without needing to get crazy uncomfortable in the ladies’ loos.
1. Add a statement
Leave the jewellery box at home, ladies. You only need a couple of statements to seriously amp up your outfit. Look out for chunky or brightly coloured pieces for the biggest effect, and pack them in your work bag before you rush off on the morning commute.

2.Choose your footwear
Heels are great, aren’t they? We pop ‘em on and feel instantly like we’re on the Victoria’s Secret catwalk, but oh boy, do they hurt our feet when we stomp around work in them all day. A mid-height heel is awesome for running around the office and stylish enough for dancing into the wee hours. And if you really can’t bear an all dayer in stilettos? Keep a pair of emergency flatties in your desk drawer. Sorted.
3. Versatile pieces
When it comes to choosing an outfit, some pieces work better than others for going from smart to social. Black dresses, cigarette pants or skinny jeans can all be effortlessly dressed up for girls on the go. Just add statement jewellery, stacked heels and, oh, of course, a G&T!
4. Belt up
Been hiding that gorgeous figure of yours under a sensible structured dress all day? Give it a feminine touch by adding a thin belt just under the bust. For added style, you can’t go wrong with metallic. It’ll catch the light and add an expensive-looking touch (even if you bought it at Penneys).
5. Come prepared
You don’t need to pack the kitchen sink. A tailored blazer and a statement clutch can transform any outfit. Look out for bright pops of colour to dress up your black or neutral work ensemble. Lastly, just add a slick of red lippie, and you’re good to go!
