Hang On, Does This News Mean There’s Going To Be A Second Season Of 13 Reasons Why?

Don't worry, there's no spoilers here.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, if you haven’t watched Netflix series 13 Reasons Why, get a move on and watch it immediately.

Ever since we finished season one, we’ve been craving a second season that will put an end to all those cliff-hangers. We NEED to know what happened to all of our favourite characters.

Well, we may be in luck. The show, which documents the aftermath of Hannah Baker’s suicide, is based on a novel of the same name.

The author, Jay Asher, admitted to Entertainment Weekly that he has considered writing a second book, and that he’s even done some brainstorming for it. Eeeep!

He said, “I’m curious as well. What happens to Clay? How do people react to what Alex did at the very end? What’s going to happen to Mr. Porter? I’d thought of a sequel at some point. I’d brainstormed it, but decided I wasn’t going to write it. So I’d love to see it…”

Even the cast want to come back for more episodes. Dylan Minnette, who plays Clay, says, “I honestly did not realise how much was going to be left open at the end. I think that there’s potential to know more about these characters and I think that there are good stories to be told.

“I think these writers could tell some pretty amazing stories,” Dylan continues. “Whatever they write, I’m in. I just trust everyone so much that they’re not going to do it unless they find it necessary and they think they have great stories to tell. I trust Brian a lot. Otherwise, I’d be kind of skeptical.”

Surely if both the creator of the story and the cast of the show want a second season then there should be a second season… right? RIGHT?

We hope so.
