Irish gal Niamh McCormack is already making a name for herself in the acting world with her role as Lara Dorren in Netflix’s smash hit The Witcher. But that is only the beginning as Niamh has been cast in a massive Hollywood project.

She will be starring in an adaption of The Magic Flute based on the musical piece by Mozart.

Niamh isn’t the only one in the cast you might recognise. Game of Thrones’ Iwan Rheon, F. Murray Abraham from The Grand Budapest Hotel, and The Secret Garden’s Amir Wilson will also be starring alongside Niamh to bring the story to life.

The film follows 17-year-old Tim Walker, who moves to a boarding school in the Austrian Alps, where he discovers a hidden passage to a secret world. Niamh will be playing Sophiie, but in true Hollywood, fashion everything else seems to be well under wraps.

Speaking to The Mail on Sunday, Niamh gushed about just how exciting the role was for her and how much her life has changed since.

Saying, it was “absolutely nuts, from being in a full lockdown and not being able to leave 5km from our house, to flying out to film The Magic Flute in Munich and Salzburg.”

“I’ve met so many beautiful souls and friends I will cherish forever and I couldn’t be more grateful, to be surrounded by supportive, creative powerhouses is forever inspiring.”

Saying, “I am definitely going to move to the States, there are so many opportunities here!”
