Yes, Ariana Grande Has Officially Rekindled With Ex Ricky Alvarez

Ariana Grande has officially rekindled things with ex Ricky Alvarez, in a move that has been equal parts wild and not surprising at all.

The pair were spotted spending Fourth of July weekend together a few weeks back, grocery shopping in Florida.

Grande had just split from Wicked co-star Ethan Slater, who ended his relationship with his wife after he met Ariana, when the pair had just welcomed a child together.

Ariana has yet to actually confirm anything about her current relationship with Ricky, but she has been changing a few lyrics on her Eternal Sunshine tour.

While singing ‘thank u, next’ this week, Ariana changed the lyric: “wrote some songs about Ricky / now I listen and laugh,” to “wrote some songs about Ricky / knew we’d find our way back.”

In some videos shared online, you can hear the crowd erupt with cheers when Grande sings the lyric. Cute.

The ‘Dangerous Woman’ singer was first linked to Alvarez, her former backup dancer, back in 2015.

The pair dated for a little over a year – time in which Ricky starred in multiple Ari music videos and was present during her “I hate America” donut licking incident.

Ariana told Billboard at the time: “We’re happy. I’m a very happy girl. I have a healthy life right now, and I think that’s all anyone cares to know. The end.”

The couple split one year later in 2016, rumours which were fuelled by Ariana tweeting: “life is wild and change is fucking fantastic,” and liking a post which read, “forever boy cancelled.”

But despite the breakup, the pair did stay somewhat in one another’s lives over the years.

When Ariana released ‘thank u, next’, Ricky shared a video reacting to the track. He later added: “Nothing but gratitude… Thank you, next…(those songs are fire tho… you’re welcome).”

Ariana reposted his post and said, “Oh for sure…ty next.”
