Yes, it’s what we’ve all been waiting for. Pop group Steps have finally shared new music and BOY, are we in love.
In honour of their 25th anniversary, the iconic band have released a greatest hits compilation, which includes new track ‘Hard 2 Forget’. The seriously catchy single is part of their Platinum Collection which is due to arrive on the 19th of August.
The music video also dropped and is just what you would expect, showing the group reminiscing about a past love in a cafe, when all of a sudden everyone breaks out into dance. I mean, of course, it’s a Steps video after all.

Announcing the release of the highly anticipated video, Steps shared in a post on Instagram: “We had so much fun filming this video. We hope you love dancing to it as much as we did.”
The lyrics highlight not being able to get over someone, (hence the Hard 2 Forget), something I’m sure we have all experienced at one point in our lives!
Naturally, the video was quick to attract praise from fans with one responding under their Instagram post: “Another anthem. Steps still delivering the hits after 25 years!”
The chart-topping group which consists of Claire Richards, Faye Tozer, Lee Latchford-Evans, Lisa Scott-Lee and Ian “H” Watkins formed back in 1997 with their debut single 5,6,7,8. Some of their other hits include ‘Tragedy’, ‘Stomp’ and ‘Deeper Shade of Blue.’

Despite having not made it onto the UK Singles Chart since the release of ‘Scared of the Dark’ back in 2017, they’ve continued to impress fans with their music over the years. We definitely have a good feeling about this one!
And it doesn’t stop there for the group, as they’re expected to take part in a number of festivals over the summer, the only thing is you’ll have to take a trip over the pond to see them in action.
If you haven’t watched the seriously glam video yet, expect disco flashlights, dramatic solos and lots, and I mean LOTS of glitter.
