Stuck For Something To Watch? 10 Binge-Worthy Series To Get Hooked On
No more scrolling... we've gotchu!
The Summer I Turned Pretty
1. Boo, Bitch (Netflix)
To all the Boys I Loved Before (guilty pleasure alert) star Laura Condor takes the lead in this new supernatural series that arrived on Netflix this weekend.
Think Booksmart meets Goosebumps in this coming-of-age comedy where Condor meets an untimely death, only to realise she’s been reincarnated as a ghost.
Comedy and dramatics ensue… what’s not to love?
2. The Main Stage (The RTE Player)

A new music show hosted by our fav former DWTS contestant Erica Cody and Danny from The Coronas. Sign us up!
Cody and Corona’s frontman team up to bring a mix of interviews, live music and all round good vibes to our screens, and there’s guaranteed to be a few familiar faces, with the likes of Gavin James, Rejji Snow and Lyra all included in the lineup.
The show is airing on RTE One every Friday night at 9.35pm, but episodes one and two are available to stream on the RTE player, with the rest added weekly.
3. Only Murders in the Building (Disney+)

We can’t resist anything to do with our gal Selena Gomez, and this hilarious mystery series is no exception.
After a murder in their upper-west-side apartment block, Gomez teams up with comedy legends Steve Martin and Martin Short to start a true-crime podcast, and hopefully solve the mystery along the way.
Season two of the hit show has just landed, with the first three episodes available already and more landing weekly!
4. Stranger Things (Netflix)
If you haven’t jumped on the bandwagon yet… seriously, why not? Stranger Things is one of Netflix’s must-watch series.
The show offers a dose of 80s nostalgia, along with a knockout cast that features the fantastic Millie Bobbi Brown and the legendary Winona Ryder.
The final two episodes of the fourth chapter landed last week, with another two years until the fifth (and reportedly final) season drops, so… there’s plenty of time to catch up!

5. Killing Eve (RTE Player, Netflix)

Another one to get on quick if you haven’t already!
Written by Fleabag creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge this show took the world by storm when it first aired back in 2018.
The show stars Grey’s Anatomy’s Sandra Oh as titular spy Eve who travels the world tracking a deadly assassin played by the fantastic Jodie Comer.
This show’s writing is unmatched, but it’s worth a look just for the iconic fashion looks that Comer’s Villanelle serves up as she plays a dangerous game of cat and mouse.
Season one arrived on Netflix recently, but you can catch all four seasons on the RTE Player!
6. Black Bird (Apple TV)
One for the true-crime fans, this moody crime-thriller stars Rocket Man’s Tarron Edgerton as convicted drug dealer Jimmy Keene, who gets a second chance at freedom if he can get a fellow inmate to confess.
Definitely on the darker side, the series is getting some serious praise after its first two episodes aired on Friday, with the remaining four dropping weekly.
7. The Summer I Turned Pretty (Amazon Prime)
This new coming-of-age series is Prime’s answer to Netflix’s The Kissing Booth.
The series is based on a set of novels written by Jenny Han, the same author who gave us the To All The Boys trilogy Netflix movies – so you know from the outset what you’re in for!
A summer love triangle? Yes please!

8. How to Build A Sex Room (Netflix)
Not one for the faint of heart, this new interior design show has a serious twist (see show title!)
It follows seasoned interior designer Melanie Rose as she helps various couples create their dream boudoir.
You might think this show is high on the raunch scale, but it’s actually quite tastefully put together and a really entertaining watch!
Certainly a far cry from Room to Improve, but surprisingly heartwarming at times!
9. The Lake (Amazon Prime)
Since watching 10 Things I Hate About You as a teen, anything that puts star Julia Stiles back on our screens immediately grabs our attention.
This new comedy series arrived on Prime back in June and stars Jordan Gavaris as a recent divorcee who brings the daughter he gave up for adoption to his childhood vacation spot in an attempt to bond.
Add an evil older stepsister (Stiles) and a plot to tear down the beloved family lake house and you’re in for a wild ride with some serious laughs.
10. The One That Got Away (Amazon Prime)
Just when you think they can’t come up with another idea for a reality dating show…
This newest addition to the genre sees hopeful contestants reunited with, you guessed it, the one that got away!
Contestants are reintroduced to former flames in the hopes of rekindling passions of the past. But tbh, we just can’t say no to any binge-able love-based show!
