We Might Be Getting New Narnia Films – By Greta Gerwig!

As if we couldn’t be more crazy about Greta Gerwig, the Ladybird director is allegedly about to bring us some brand new Narnia content with Netflix.

Yes, really. Does the woman ever sleep?!

Sources have revealed that Greta has been linked as a writer and director of not one, but two, feature films based on The Chronicles of Narnia series.

In 2018, Netflix announced that they had acquired the film and TV rights to the series. Their representative said “Families have fallen in love with characters like Aslan and the entire world of Narnia, and we are thrilled to be their home for years to come”.

However, since the announcement, there’s been radio silence when it comes to any updates. We don’t know if the Narnia narrative will continue where it left off with the original films, or if Greta will take it from scratch. Will they bring back any actors? Someone call James McEvoy, we beg!

Greta’s been on the scene for years, but has risen to massive popularity in recent times thanks to female focused films like Ladybird, Little Women, and of course the highly anticipated Barbie movie arriving later this month.

We can’t wait to see what she’ll do with this!
