Lucinda’s Family Release Statement After Belle Argument
It's all been kicking off
Lucinda’s family have released a statement following the latest few episodes of Love Island.
The fall out of the USA villa combining with the main villa did not go exactly as planned, as instead of the UK islanders feeling threatened by the USA all stars, Sean and Lucinda decided they wanted to give it a go themselves instead.
Oh, okay then.
Once Belle returned to the main villa (not having pursued anyone in the USA villa, mind you), she was welcomed back with open arms to see that Sean and Lucinda had been having flirty chats.
Belle, of course, exploded – at both Sean and Lucinda, claiming that Lucinda was only flirting with Sean for air time.
She also glared at Lucinda from across a group chat, called Sean a little boy, and told Lucinda to go away when she was standing at the corner of her chat with Sean.
Following the incident, Lucinda’s family and/or friends issued a statement on Instagram, reminding viewers that Love Island is, indeed, a reality show, and that it’s not fair for Lucinda to receive any hate.
“After tonight’s episode, we just wanted to remind everyone that Love Island is a TV show. It’s about exploring connections and being true to yourself, which is exactly what Lucinda is doing,” they wrote.
“The hate she’s receiving is not okay on any level. Please remember that she will be coming out of the villa and seeing these comments, just like her family and friends are too. Words have impact, and this kind of negativity is unkind and damaging.
“Let’s remember to be kind. Not only to Lucinda, but to everyone.”
Sean later told Lucinda that he would be a “great boyfriend” outside of the villa.
Only time will tell, Sean…
